As a volunteer, you’ll find your work at Yume Japanese Gardens fulfilling, as you meet new and interesting people, acquire new skills, and learn about Japanese culture and language, often from fellow volunteers born in Japan. You’ll also enjoy discounted class fees and free admission to exhibitions.

For many volunteers, the principal satisfaction in working at the Gardens lies in involvement with a living art and the cultivation of a Zen-like approach as they carry out their work in respectful humility. Reflection, serenity, and a healing experience of self-renewal are their greatest rewards.
