We will demonstrate how to make traditional Japanese holiday arrangements, created with bamboo and pine, called kadomatsu. In Japan, these arrangements flank the entrances of homes and shops in pairs to welcome ancestral spirits and to assure prosperity in the New Year. After the demonstration, there we will hold a workshop in which you can learn to make your own small kadomatsu decoration to take home.
