Friends of Yume may show their support in various ways, and general-purpose financial donations are always welcome for the ongoing operation and maintenance of the Gardens. In addition, special gifts and grants may be designated for specific uses, such as construction of a tea house, restrooms, expanded parking facilities, and class, exhibit, and office space.
We also gratefully receive donations in kind. Examples include class and office supplies and furniture, exhibit and gift shop display fixtures, signage, stone lanterns, water basins, major stones, Japanese roofing tiles, koi, garden tools, and landscaping materials and supplies, such as irrigation equipment, outdoor lighting, soil and gravel, and appropriate species of trees, shrubs, and ground covers. Graphic design, printing, publicity, photographic, and translation services and similar assistance may also be donated.
We welcome corporate sponsors, too. Companies and businesses may choose to support the Gardens in general or to underwrite cultural events, annual festivals, exhibitions, and educational and outreach programs. For more information, please call (520) 272-3200.
Donor Acknowledgements and Privacy
We are thankful for all donations large or small and are pleased to publicly acknowledge such support. Acknowledgement may include mention on our website, in our printed promotional and marketing materials, and in the announcements of events with underwriters. Donors who fund the majority of the construction costs of a garden facility may have naming rights to that building.
We understand that not all donors desire to be publicly thanked. This is often true in the case of donations made in memory of friends or loved ones. We respect the wishes of those who choose to remain anonymous.
