In addition to volunteering, friends of the Gardens may show their support through special gifts, grants, donations, and sponsorship arrangements. Such contributions are tax-deductible and are received with especial appreciation.
Donations are always welcome for the ongoing operation and maintenance of the Gardens. Special gifts and grants may be designated for specific uses, such as construction of a Tea House, restrooms, class, exhibit, and office space, and expanded parking facilities. We also gratefully receive donations in kind and services. Examples of gifts in kind include signage, stone lanterns, water basins, major stones, Japanese roofing tiles, garden tools and supplies, koi, and appropriate species of trees, shrubs, and ground covers. Printing, publicity, translation, photographic and other services may also be donated.
Corporate sponsors are also welcome. Companies and businesses may choose to support the Gardens in general or to underwrite cultural events, annual festivals, exhibitions, and educational and outreach programs. For more information, please call (520) 303-3945.
Donor Acknowledgements and Privacy
We are grateful for all donations large or small and are pleased to publicly acknowledge such support. Acknowledgement may include mention on our website, in our printed promotional and marketing materials, and in the announcements of events with underwriters. Donors who fund the majority of the construction costs of a garden facility may have naming rights to that building.
We understand that not all donors desire to be publicly thanked. This is often true in the case of donations made in memory of friends or loved ones. We respect the wishes of those who choose to remain anonymous.
